Mrs. Laurie Miller
Mrs. Miller is the director and preschool teacher at the Clarence Co-Op Nursery School for the morning programs. She teaches both the 3-year-old and the 4-year-old morning classes. She has taught at the school for 12 years. Mrs. Miller is a phenomonal teacher. She is very well loved by the Co-Op families. Her abilities and kind demeanor are responsible for returning families and her teaching repuatation is what leads to many new families here at the Co-Op.
She attended Villa Maria College as an early childhood education major winning the Villa Maria Faculty Scholarship in January 1991. She transferred to Buffalo State College in 1992 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary and Exceptional education. She was a substitute teacher in the Clarence School District before obtaining the position here at the Co-Op.
Her philosophy for teaching preschool children is to let them explore, probe, and create their own learning experiences through play, fine motor and gross motor mediums. She believes in helping children to be as ready as possible when entering Kindergarten.
Her family lives here in Clarence. She has three beautiful children and eight fabulous grandchildren who also live in the town of Clarence.
